Award-winning writer, thought leader and critic Rohan Preston has been the lead theater critic the Star Tribune since 1998. He led a team that won an Emmy for an online documentary on the meaning of Barack Obama’s election to the American presidency. Preston has twice served on the jury of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Also a poet, he co-edited the groundbreaking Viking/Penguin multi-genre anthology "Soulfires: Young Black Men on Love and Violence." Reared in New York and educated at Yale, he began his career as an arts writer for the Chicago Tribune and a national news stringer for the New York Times.
